Test technicians in ATK’s instrumentation room at the Space Launch System booster prime contractor’s Promontory, Utah, test facility review data during the March 28 avionics and controls testing – dubbed Flight Control Test 1 – of NASA’s Space Launch System booster. The Space Launch System is America’s next heavy-lift launch vehicle, now being developed and built by NASA and its aerospace partners. The work is managed for the agency by NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala.
