The pilot of the remotely operated Highly Maneuverable Aircraft Technology (HiMAT) demonstrator flew the aircraft from this control station at NASA Dryden Flight Research Center. The subscale HiMAT research aircraft demonstrated advanced fighter technologies that have been used in the development of many modern high performance military aircraft during a four-year flight research program from 1979 through 1983.
