PLATiNO-2 mission envisages the development of the second satellite based on PLATiNO platform and embarks a Thermal Infrared (TIR) payload, validating PLATiNO multi-applicability feature. Developed by Leonardo and SITAEL, PLATiNO-2 TIR will acquire images that will be used to provide valuable services for territories control and protection such as monitoring waters, glaciers, pollutants, state of crops and vegetation, energy consumption in urban areas.

Russian Proton-M rocket is scheduled to launch an Iranian Ekvator communication satellite. It will be the first of four initially planned Proton-M launches in 2025.

First launch of 24 Rivada Outernet communication satellites. Rivada Space Networks aims to deliver gigabit-speed internet globally, including the polar regions, bypassing the public internet and third-party infrastructure. The project rests on a constellation of 600 LEO satellites called the "Outernet", placed at an orbit of 1050km. This network is designed as a second internet backbone in space, capable of routing traffic from one satellite to another with no need for a gateway on earth until the data reaches its destination.

A further satellite for the Russian navigation constellation for dual purposes: civilian and military, comparable to the American GPS and the European Galileo systems. According to issued NOTAMs (Notice to Airmen) the launch of next GLONASS navigation satellite is planed for July 17-23, 2026 around the same time as the next batch of 16 Rassvet-3 internet satellites.
