PLATiNO-2 mission envisages the development of the second satellite based on PLATiNO platform and embarks a Thermal Infrared (TIR) payload, validating PLATiNO multi-applicability feature. Russian Proton-M rocket is scheduled to launch an Iranian Ekvator communication satellite. It will be the first of four initially planned Proton-M launches in 2025.
First launch of 24 Rivada Outernet communication satellites. Rivada Space Networks aims to deliver gigabit-speed internet globally, including the polar regions, bypassing the public internet and third-party infrastructure. The project rests on a constellation of 600 LEO satellites called the "Outernet", placed at an orbit of 1050km. This network is designed as a second internet backbone in space, capable of routing traffic from one satellite to another with no need for a gateway on earth until the data reaches its destination.
