On 4/23-24/24, in a collaboration with NASA Earth Science Data and Information System (ESDIS) and several Distributed Active Archive Centers (DAACs), the Airborne Data Management Group (ADMG), a cycle 1 SNWG Solution and project within NASA IMPACT, led the 2024 NASA Airborne and Field Data Workshop. The virtual event sought specific input from NASA data providers and users on recent advances in suborbital data stewardship, such as ADMG’s CASEI resource, and included breakout sessions with special emphasis on understanding and documenting data users’ evolving needs. Input gathered will be thoroughly analyzed and condensed to a set of recommendations, which will be released by the NASA Earth Science Data Systems (ESDS) Airborne and Field Data Working Group (of which ADMG is a key member) in the coming months.
