Dennis Gallagher (ST13) mentored a group of five high students from his Alma mater, North High School in Des Moines, IA, who were competing in a NASA Challenge. Today their Team was selected as one of five finalists that will be flown to Johnson Space Center 4/15-18/24. This is the first team in Iowa to participate in a NASA App Challenge competition. The publicity they have generated appears likely to mean other schools in the State will be encouraged to participate in the future. He met the students and their teachers for lunch on 2/25/24, in downtown Des Moines and talked with them for four hours.
